What is a Podcast?

What is a Podcast? This is a question that comes up a lot when we talk to people about our show. For those unfamiliar with the idea of podcasting, its essentially a talk radio show just like you might listen to on your local air-waves. Podcasts typically cover a specific topic and be a regular show, or it can be a mini-series type audio event that captures a set of ideas (think of a short run series on battles of WWII ran by a history-centric podcast). These shows are often pre-recorded but sometimes can be streamed live.

Mind Clash Mind Set

The Mind Clash Podcast is a weekly podcast to discuss the political and social landscape of New Eden, the universe of EVE Online. We stream our show live via Twitch, which you can see to the right of the page if we are online or offline, rebroadcast the video to YouTube, and then publish out as an audio podcast that can be found on iTunes and any other Podcast app. You can even find us on TuneIn and Stitcher. Sometime in the future, you may be able to stream us on iHeartRadio on your TV.

Our Story

Every EVE Online based podcast, stream, and blog is different for a lot of reasons. When we describe our show, we explain it as a loose talk show between hosts and guests to discuss some of the recent and relative news to the game, but also to spotlight aspects of it that may be unknown to some players. Typically there is a schema to each episode that will tie in with a play style, ship fitting, or skill training management. Guests are free to voice their opinion and there is no rules on language except to be respectful and not cross into offensive territory. For the sake of ratings on podcast sites, we are deemed explicit because of language, however it is always in good fun.
